Why I Created This Program

I've been coaching for 16 years, and for a long time, my content followed the same pattern most fitness channels do with one workout, one week, over and over. New video, new focus, repeat.

But somewhere along the way, I noticed something. I was burning out trying to create fresh content every single week. And if I'm being honest, I don't think one random weekly workout was giving you what you actually needed either.

What women over 40 need isn't more content. It's a plan.

So I built a Level 2 Strength & Stability, 2-week program instead of a single workout. Six sessions, focused around one theme, designed to actually build something instead of just checking a box. Long enough that you feel a real shift by the end. Short enough that you can actually finish it, and see it through.

This is the first of six seasonal programs I'll be running throughout the year. Every other month, we go through a focused 2-week reset together. In between, you'll get shorts, breakdowns, and modifications to keep you moving and learning. But when we do a program, we do it with intention and consistency.

This isn't about doing more. It's about doing what matters, on purpose.

The Philosophy: Why Slow, Stable, & Balanced Wins

Pre-perimenopause, it was easy to show up and give the same consistent, all-out effort. Missing a session here or there didn't seem to disrupt my rhythm or strength. But now, consistency is a must and if it's not there, my strength quickly takes a hit.

So I created this Level 2 program, where we slow down, work on core strength, stability, and quality movement. Level 2 doesn't note whether you're a novice or a seasoned weightlifter just your energy level. You should feel ready to move, but with intention.
That intention starts with slowing down. Fast reps let momentum do the work for you. Slow, controlled reps don't let you cheat and every stabilizing muscle has to show up and do its job. This isn't doing less. It's doing more, with more control, and far less risk of injury.

That's also why this program is built around your LPHC, your lumbo-pelvic-hip complex. Your core isn't just your abs. It's the entire system including your low back, your pelvis, and your hips working together to keep your spine protected and your whole body stable. Most plateaus, and most injuries, don't come from a weak "main" muscle. They come from weak stabilizers working quietly behind the scenes. Train that system, and everything else you do gets stronger, safer, and more effective.

You'll also see a lot of unilateral work (one side at a time) throughout this program. When consistency isn't guaranteed anymore, imbalances creep in without you noticing: one hip a little stronger, one side a little more coordinated. Unilateral training catches that and evens it back out, before it turns into a bigger problem.

And then there's balance. It's easy to think of balance as just "not falling over” but it naturally starts to decline with age, and if we don't train it on purpose, we lose it faster than we'd like to admit. Rebuilding it protects your joints, sharpens your coordination, and makes every other lift you do more effective.
Slower tempo strength, balance, and unilateral training all work together to help you build strength safely while improving stability and coordination. You'll feel steady, supported, and stronger with every session.

Two weeks, six workouts. Long enough to feel a shift. Short enough to actually finish, which matters more now than it used to, when consistency isn't something you can just count on showing up for anymore.

Perimenopause can cause frequent, unexpected shifts in mood, energy, and sleep. If this level feels like too much or too little on any given day, check out my other workouts like Level 1, Level 3, and Level 4 to meet you where you are.
